As we all know, our Orange County Scottish Rite Valley, the Board of Directors of the Orange County Childhood Language Center, the California Scottish Rite Foundation and the Chapman University Staff have been working extremely hard for the last few years to provide a quality driven speech therapeutic services program. This effort has allowed our Language Center to offer one of the best speech therapy services in Orange County and in the State of California, to children from 2 to 16 years of age who exhibit a wide range of speech, language and learning challenges. Well, it is with great privilege and excitement that I am able to share with you our latest news.
A few weeks ago, the California Speech Language Hearing Association (CSHA) announced that after reviewing over 100 programs in the State of California, it had selected the Orange County Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center and Chapman University as the recipient of the 2016 Program of the Year, a Statewide Award. And why stop there, because of Chapman’s hard work and excellent Speech Pathology Program, Chapman will receive the 2016 Outstanding Achievement in Speech and Language Statewide Award. What an accomplishment for the team supporting this program! I cannot think of other more deserving institutions to receive this prestigious recognition.
Because it is equally important for others to see how we serve the children at our Center, we were visited by a videographer from CSHA on Tuesday March 29th, who shot a video of our RiteCare Childhood Language Center in action. This video will be shown at the CSHA State Convention taking place at the Hyatt in Anaheim from April 28th to May 1st, and most importantly, during the CSHA Awards Dinner event taking place on Saturday April 30th. Awards will be presented to a select audience representing the OC Scottish Rite Valley, the Board of Directors of the CLC, the CA Scottish Rite Foundation and the Chapman University staff.
These prestigious awards recognize our success which is directly attributable to your financial support, the efforts made by everyone involved and the quality of our program, under the direction of our Program Director, Dr. Judy Montgomery. Everyone’s contributions and innovative ideas have lifted us to a well-deserved spot among the stars.
On behalf of the Orange County Childhood Language Center Board of Directors, congratulations!
We look forward to our continued success, the privilege to support this very special program and to helping our children for many more years to come.
President and Chairman of the Board of Directors
